THE TOUR

Public group tours-   Public group tours are on Saturdays and are intended for individuals and small groups. This Spring we will meet at South Whidbey Tilth Farmers Market every Saturday between April 13th and June 15th. You have your choice between a morning 9-12 tour or an afternoon 1-4 tour. I will hand out informational booklets to everybody that are yours to keep to help support and continue your learning. Then we will dive straight into a 30-45 minute information packed and illustrated presentation about mushrooms and foraging for mushrooms. Many mushrooms will be on display and labeled for your viewing and learning pleasure. After the discussion we will then drive in our own vehicles to our tour location not far away where I have previously scouted out to be sure the area is fruitful for us. From there we will venture into the forest to see what we can find and of course we will be chit chatting about everything mushrooms along the way and whatever else we all feel like talking about. Dogs are not allowed on public tours. If you're coming from Seattle you'll want to take the Mukilteo Ferry.

Private tours- Private tours are offered on Sunday's and weekdays during my public group tour season and 7 days a week outside of the season (check for season dates in red in the above description for public tours) as long as mushrooms are present which in the Pacific Northwest is nearly year round. You have your choice between a morning 9-12 or an afternoon 1-4. For private tours we do not meet at Tilth Farmers Market but instead will meet at a tour destination that I have previously scouted out to be sure the area is fruitful for us. Always on the south end of Whidbey Island between Clinton and Freeland. I will hand out informational booklets to everybody that are yours to keep to help support and continue your learning. Then we will dive straight into a 30-45 minute information packed and illustrated presentation about mushrooms and foraging for mushrooms. After the presentation we will then jump into the forest to see what we can find! Of course chit chatting about everything mushrooms along the way and whatever else we all feel like talking about. Dogs are allowed on private tours. If you're coming from Seattle you'll want to take the Mukilteo Ferry.
